AMBROSIANA AND YOOX GROUP together to celebrate Italian creativity throughout the centuries, from Leonardo to the digital era.

Since JUNE 2014, Pinacoteca Ambrosiana and YOOX Group, the global Internet retail partner for leading fashion and design brands, have started a new limitless journey in the world of Leonardo and of human creativity. Thanks to the infinite possibilities offered by the web, YOOX Group will accompany the genius of Leonardo in a virtual journey “from one to the other hemisphere,” directly from the Ambrosiana Gallery to fans of art and history, in more than 100 countries.

The multi-year partnership between the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana and YOOX Group focuses on the preservation, promotion and popularization of the collection of Leonardo’s works through a series of innovative projects, exhibitions and important restoration initiatives.

The core of this fascinating trip will be the Codex Atlanticus, the world’s largest collection of drawings and writings by da Vinci, jealously preserved since 1637 in the Biblioteca Ambrosiana. Through the pages of the Codex it will be possible to retrace the extraordinary discoveries of Leonardo: thousands of papers that explain his thoughts and intuitions ranging from botany to weapons, from musical instruments to mathematics and which also deal with questions of style and fashion.
